Vietnam – InterContinental DaNang Sun Peninsula Resort

InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort

16.1198° N, 108.3072° E

Voted the World’s leading resort 4 years in a row in 2017, and inside the Top 10 luxury resorts in Asia, this is one of my most favourite hotels I’ve ever stayed at! I went in October 2017, and back then I didn’t take many photos – which is a shame because this is such a LUXURIOUS hotel. Needlessly to say, I know I will come back to add more photos one day in the future..

(tried to remake the bed.. but its very hard after napping on it!)

We stay(cationed) in a resort classic room with the bathtub and balcony looking over the sea – we were too busy enjoying the resort during day time so I only night shots ! This is the most basic room, so can you imagine what it would look if you tried their higher end rooms? Each room features a large balcony dining area facing the sea, Bose music systems, a bathtub facing the sea. The suites and villas also have butler service and exclusive lounges, private pools saunas and steam rooms!

(bathroom goals right? The bathtub faces the sea)

A shuttle bus is complimentary since the resort is on the quiet side of the island. There are 6 restaurants and bars inside the resort, each with a very beautiful theme. There are two outdoor pools to enjoy, a privately owned sand beach, a spa, a tram, a gym, a games room and a karaoke lounge. We only stayed here for 2 days and it simply wasn’t enough to enjoy them all!

To me Da Nang City itself is a beautiful resort destination as most of the hotels and development are quite new. You will notice this on arrival of the city that all the hotels are modern looking – even the airport itself was opened in 2011, very different to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Currently the city is not ruined by tourism and remains a beautiful destination for relaxation, Pho and all things made in Vietnam!

Citron – Floating pod high-tea

The BEST and highest dining views in the resort, and to have high tea at, whilst listening to the sound of the sea. The service was extremely memorable and really had an extra touch. I think the photos show a thousand words already. You can also eat lunch and dinner here.

Every Wednesday you can also ‘Dine under the stars’ on their private beach, please ask staff for more details or visit their website.

Private Beach

This private sand beach one side facing the sea and one side facing the large white resort, with sun-beds and volleyball nets ready for hotel residents to make use of!

Arrival Visa for Vietnam

Please remember to apply for a visa upon entry to Vietnam, at least 3 days before arrival depending on the service you pay for! That massive full page visa in your passport is pretty memorable.. More details here.
