A stay in the hidden forest of Alila, Ubud

With only 56 rooms in this boutique resort of pure serenity, we were lucky to indulge ourselves with calmness in our resort after long days of chasing sunsets, dipping in waterfalls and brushing through rice fields in the heart of Ubud, simply pure bliss!

LOCATION

Ubud has always been my favourite place to stay in Bali. There is nothing that makes me gasp more than the greenery yet modern luxury that can be found here.

Alila Ubud is located only 15 minutes away from Ubud centre, providing car parking, and located in the quieter areas next to some rice fields above the Ayung River.

THE ROOMS

Valley Villa

The Valley View Villa – as the name calls it, you will find yourself waking up in a traditional Bali wooden hut, only steps away from your balcony view with the Ayung River, jungle views, and monkeys coming to greet every now and then.

Water surrounding your bathtub, the perfect way to enjoy your floral Balinese bath!

Terrace Tree Villa

If you prefer hanging out on a balcony, the Tree-top Terrace Villa will surprise you with some beautiful views of nature at its finest! In particular, we enjoyed sitting here for breakfast every morning to feel extra refreshed and ready for the day.

HOTEL GROUNDS

Infinity Pool in the morning, at 9am

This super photogenic emerald green pool which looks over the beauty of Ubud, is the perfect place to chill during the afternoon. The Cabana Lounge directly opposite the pool are always happy to offer drinks by the pool when you are feeling a nice cocktail!

SPA Alila

Alila spa provides all-natural treatments, from their signature locally inspired traditional Balinese Healing Therapy Massage (RECOMMENDED – we also found it super affordable at 60 min IDR 575,000++ | 90 min IDR 765,000++) to Balinese lulur body scrubs. No stay is complete without one of these!
